Hi all, looking for ideas on how to make a mini lesson on how to make teaching syllables fun! I'm a student teacher in the second grade and have used all your blogs to get some great ideas but this one I'm having trouble with. Any takers.....?
have you typed it in the search box of pinterst? That might help too. Just found you and would love to be an official follower. I will come back to see if you have a follower box. Good luck student teaching I bet you are great. :o) Vicky http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Vicky-Moore/
That is so exciting that you are so close to having your own classroom. I hope your student teaching experience is awesome!
When I teach syllables I always use those plastics hand clappers. I found them at a party store but I think Oriental trading has them too. You could have a scavenger hunt around the school to find the words you want them to practice. After finding all of the words, you could come back to the classroom to sort them. We have a Letter Snatcher that comes to our classroom and causes mischief with words.
You could also have a syllable snake! =)
I hope this helps a little.
I'll stop back by to follow you.
I would love for you to visit me when you get the chance. =)
